Tooth count is critical — confirm yours before ordering, as other Arco OMC starters like the Arco 5376 cover different HP ranges and tooth counts. For smaller OMC applications, the Arco 5370 (55–75 HP) may be the correct fit. When replacing the starter, always inspect the solenoid — the correct OMC-specific unit is the Arco SW268 OMC Solenoid (12V Grounded Base). The Sierra Starter Solenoid for Johnson/Evinrude is also a compatible option worth considering.
