Fitment Notice

Part number 07200 is the 2,000-watt pure sine wave version of the TruePower Plus inverter and is intended for a nominal 12-volt battery bank. It must not be connected to a 24-volt or 48-volt system.

This unit is an inverter with automatic AC pass-through. It does not contain a battery charger. Customers requiring an inverter and charger in one enclosure should select an appropriately sized inverter/charger instead.

At full output, a 2,000-watt inverter can draw approximately 185 amps or more from a 12-volt battery bank after conversion losses are considered. Battery capacity, DC cable size, fuse rating, battery-switch capacity and connection length must be selected for the actual installation.

Battery-Bank Requirements

ProMariner recommends that the battery bank’s current-output capacity exceed the inverter demand. The manufacturer indicates that a 2,000-watt inverter should generally be supported by at least two Group 31 batteries, although the actual battery-bank size depends on:

• Battery chemistry
• Permitted depth of discharge
• Appliance load
• Cable length and voltage drop
• Battery age and condition

High-demand or long-runtime installations may require a substantially larger battery bank.

Installation Notes

Install the inverter in a dry, ventilated compartment protected from direct spray, bilge water, excessive heat, battery gases and fuel vapours. Maintain adequate clearance around the enclosure so cooling air can circulate.

Use correctly sized marine-grade DC conductors and keep the battery cables as short as practical. Install properly rated DC overcurrent protection close to the battery bank and use an accessible battery disconnect.

The integrated transfer switch automatically passes external AC power through when shore or generator power is present. Follow the ProMariner installation manual for AC input, AC output, grounding, neutral configuration and branch-circuit protection.

The front screw-terminal blocks and integrated strain reliefs permit hardwired AC installation without requiring ring terminals on the AC conductors.

When This Product Needs Replacement

Inspect or replace the inverter if it:

• Repeatedly shuts down under loads it previously operated
• No longer produces stable 115-volt AC power
• Fails to transfer incoming shore or generator power
• Displays recurring low-voltage, overload or over-temperature faults
