The Quicksilver 74057Q5 combines a pistol-grip grease gun with a 3 oz cartridge of Quicksilver 2-4-C Marine Grease with PTFE — the grease specified by Mercury Marine for steering cables, throttle and shift cables, prop shafts, swivel pins, tilt tubes, and trailer wheel bearings. Load the cartridge, attach the feed tube, and you’re ready to work.
The 2-4-C grease formula is a lithium-based NLGI 2 grease with PTFE (Teflon) and extreme pressure additives that won’t break down when exposed to water — essential for any marine lubrication application. The pistol grip gun makes applying grease to zerk fittings fast and controlled, even in tight spaces.
