Heavy-Duty Surface Base for RAM's Largest Ball System
The RAM RAMD-202U is a 2.5" round surface mounting base fitted with RAM's 2.25" rubber ball — the largest ball size in the RAM mounting system family. It's designed for use with RAM's D-series double socket arms and is the foundation of choice for heavy, large-format displays and electronics that demand maximum rigidity and vibration resistance.
The pre-drilled round base mounts directly to flat surfaces, and the 2.25" rubber ball connects to any compatible D-series double socket arm, delivering RAM's near-infinite angle adjustment with an exceptionally solid, low-flex hold once locked in.

Compatibility & System Context

The 2.25" ball gives a noticeably stiffer, more confidence-inspiring hold — especially important on boats that run in rough water or at higher speeds. Always confirm the customer's arm is a D-series before ordering — the 2.25" ball is not compatible with standard 1" or 1.5" ball arms.
