The Raymarine DT800 Smart Transducer is a through-hull depth and water temperature transducer built for Raymarine instrument and chartplotter networks. With a native SeaTalkng output, it connects directly to your onboard network and delivers accurate depth and temperature data to all compatible connected displays — no additional converters or interfaces required.
SeaTalkng Network Integration
The DT800 outputs depth and temperature data directly over SeaTalkng, making it plug-and-play compatible with Raymarine’s network ecosystem. Data is available simultaneously on all connected displays and instruments — including Axiom+ chartplotters and the i70s multifunction instrument. Calibration is performed directly from a network-connected Axiom chartplotter or i70s display.
Depth Performance
Operating at 235 kHz with 100W output, the DT800 provides accurate depth readings from 1.6 ft to 600 ft (0.5 m to 183 m). The 235 kHz frequency is specifically chosen to prevent interference with other onboard depth sounders or fishfinders operating at standard 50/200 kHz frequencies.
Through-Hull Installation
The 2-inch high-strength plastic housing is suitable for fiberglass or metal hulls. The 0° internal element is designed for flat (horizontal) mounting positions, making it ideal for hulls where a level installation surface is available. A retractable housing with integrated water valve allows for easy maintenance and transducer removal without hauling the vessel.
Cable & Connectivity
Includes a 20 ft (6 m) interconnect cable with SeaTalkng connector, ready to plug directly into a SeaTalkng backbone or spur.
Parts Desk Insights
- Best Use Case: Ideal for sailboats and powerboats running a Raymarine SeaTalkng network where a dedicated, high-accuracy through-hull depth and temperature source is needed. Particularly well-suited for vessels with an existing Axiom chartplotter or i70s instrument where network calibration can be performed without additional tools.
- Through-Hull vs. Transom Mount: This is a through-hull unit requiring a 2-inch hull penetration. It is not a transom-mount or in-hull transducer. Professional installation is strongly recommended if you are not experienced with through-hull fittings.
- Frequency Note: The 235 kHz operating frequency is intentionally offset from standard 50/200 kHz fishfinder transducers to eliminate cross-talk interference on multi-transducer installations.
- Compatible Displays: Works with SeaTalkng-connected Raymarine displays including the Axiom+ 7", Axiom+ 9" RealVision 3D, Axiom+ 12", and the i70s Multifunction Colour Display.
- Retractable Housing: The built-in water valve allows the transducer element to be retracted for inspection or replacement while the vessel is in the water — a significant advantage for liveaboard or commercial applications.
- Network Backbone: Requires an existing SeaTalkng backbone or spur connection. If your vessel does not have a SeaTalkng network installed, additional backbone components will be needed.
