Accurate Depth Data. No Holes. No Haul-Out Required.

The Raymarine P795S Smart in-hull transducer delivers reliable depth readings by transmitting sonar through a solid fiberglass hull β€” no drilling, no through-hull fitting, and no need to haul the boat out of the water for installation. It connects to the vessel's SeaTalkng (NMEA 2000) network and shares depth data with compatible Raymarine instruments and chartplotters across the network.

Key Features

  • In-Hull Installation β€” Epoxies to the inside of the hull; no holes to drill and no through-hull penetration required
  • 235 kHz Frequency β€” Operates at 235 kHz to prevent mutual interference with other echosounders on the same vessel
  • SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 Network β€” Connects via a 6 m (20 ft) DeviceNet cable to the vessel's SeaTalkng network, sharing depth data with all compatible instruments and displays on the network
  • Smart Transducer Technology β€” Calibration and configuration are managed through compatible Raymarine SeaTalkng instruments (ST70, ST70+, or i70 series required for calibration)
  • Adapts to Hull Deadrise β€” Easily adjusts to deadrise angles up to 22Β° for a wide range of hull shapes
  • Can Be Installed Afloat β€” Installation can be completed while the boat is in the water

Hull Compatibility

  • Solid Fiberglass Hulls β€” Recommended for solid fiberglass construction; signal transmits cleanly through the hull material
  • Aluminum Hulls β€” Compatible with aluminum hulls up to 3.8 mm (0.150") thick when epoxied in place
  • Not Suitable For β€” Cored (foam or balsa sandwich) fiberglass hulls, steel hulls, or hulls with internal liners that create an air gap

Parts Desk Insights

Best Use Case: The P795S is the right choice for sailboat and powerboat owners who want accurate depth data on their SeaTalkng network without cutting a hole in the hull. It's particularly well-suited for vessels where a through-hull installation isn't practical β€” such as boats with limited access to the bilge, vessels kept in the water year-round, or owners who want to avoid the cost and complexity of a haul-out. The in-hull design also eliminates the risk of a through-hull fitting as a potential source of water ingress.

Calibration Requirement: Full calibration of the P795S requires a Raymarine ST70, ST70+, or i70 series instrument connected to the SeaTalkng network. Older SeaTalk1 instruments (ST40, ST60, i40, i50) can display depth data from this transducer but cannot be used for calibration. A SeaTalk to SeaTalkng converter may be required if your vessel uses older SeaTalk1 instruments.

Installation Note: Signal quality through the hull depends on hull construction and thickness. Test transducer placement before final epoxy installation. Not recommended for cored or sandwich fiberglass hulls.
