- Lithium-compatible charger required: The RB80 must be charged with a LiFePO4-compatible charger. Standard lead-acid chargers — including AGM and gel profiles — are not suitable and can damage the battery’s BMS over time.
- 100% usable capacity changes your sizing math: An 80Ah LiFePO4 delivers the equivalent usable energy of a ~160Ah lead-acid battery (which is typically only discharged to 50%). Customers upgrading from lead-acid may be able to downsize their bank.
- Hazmat shipping applies: Lithium batteries are subject to carrier restrictions and potential surcharges. Lead times and shipping options may be limited depending on the destination.
- Group 27 is a common marine deep-cycle size: Widely used in trolling motor banks, house banks, and auxiliary systems. Confirm the application and compartment dimensions before ordering — the RB80 is a deep-cycle unit, not a starting battery.
