The Scotty 2201K is the 300 ft. version of Scotty’s premium braided downrigger line kit — 50% more line than the 2200K 200 ft. kit, making it the right choice for anglers who fish deeper water or want extra capacity on the spool. Spooled with 250 lb. test Dyneema® fiber braid, it delivers low stretch, high strength, and electrolysis resistance that stainless cable can’t match in saltwater environments. The complete kit includes everything needed to re-spool your downrigger.

The 2201K is the better choice over the 2200K 200 ft. kit for anyone regularly fishing deeper than 150 ft., running a high-capacity spool, or who simply wants the peace of mind of extra line on the drum. The additional 100 ft. is also useful as a buffer if you’ve had to cut and re-terminate your line after a snag. For moderate depths (under 120 ft.), the 2200K is sufficient and more economical. Pair with a Scotty 370 Trolling Snubber or Scotty 371 Trolling Snubber at the weight connection for shock absorption and cable protection.
