The Scotty 2612 12" Pedestal Riser adds a full foot of height to any Scotty downrigger mount, giving your boom the clearance it needs to swing freely over rod holders, railings, cabin structures, and raised gunwale hardware. Built from the same fibre-reinforced nylon and 2" stainless steel tubing as the rest of the Scotty mounting system, the 2612 is engineered to handle the load of a fully rigged electric downrigger without flex or fatigue.

The 2612 is the right choice when 6" of additional height isn’t enough — typically on larger boats (24 ft. and up) with high gunwales, hardtops, or side-mounted rod holders that sit well above the waterline. If you’re unsure whether you need 6" or 12", measure the distance from your mount surface to the top of any hardware the boom needs to clear, then add 2–3" of working margin. For moderate clearance needs, the Scotty 2606 6" Riser is the lower-profile option. Pairs with the Scotty 1026 Swivel Mount or Scotty 1028 Gimbal Mount for a complete mounting solution.
