The Seachoice 11771 is a heavy-duty momentary push-button switch with a brass body, rated for 6V to 36V DC systems. The switch is normally off (SPST) and closes the circuit only while the button is held down — releasing the button returns it to the off position. This momentary action makes it suitable for applications where a brief, controlled electrical pulse is needed rather than a latching on/off state.
The gasket-sealed case protects internal components against moisture and dust. A moulded plastic insulator with a protective barrier between terminals prevents accidental shorts, and a black moisture-repellent rubber button cover adds additional protection at the contact point. Silver contacts provide reliable conductivity. The mounting stem is 1-3/8" long with a 5/8"-32 thread diameter for standard panel installation.

Best Use Case: Ideal for engine start buttons, horn buttons, trim tab controls, bilge pump manual overrides, and other marine applications where a momentary contact is needed. The brass body and gasket-sealed case make it suitable for exposed helm and console locations where moisture resistance is required.

If you need a switch that stays on when pressed and off when pressed again, a standard rocker or toggle switch is the correct choice instead.
