A short length of chain between your anchor and rope rode is one of the most effective upgrades you can make to your anchoring system. The Seachoice Grade 30 Galvanized Anchor Lead Chain adds weight at the anchor end to help keep the shank lying flat along the seafloor — the key to maximizing holding power regardless of what anchor you're running. It also puts a chafe-resistant barrier between your nylon line and the rocks, shells, and debris on the bottom that would otherwise wear through rope over time.
Hot-dip galvanized for corrosion resistance in salt and fresh water. Includes hot-dip galvanized 1/4 in. shackles at both ends for direct attachment to your anchor and anchor line without additional hardware.
