The Seachoice 85640 is a lightweight, low-profile inflatable personal flotation device designed for Canadian recreational boating applications. Its manual/automatic Halkey-Roberts inflation system deploys when immersed in water or when the wearer pulls the inflation handle. The 33-gram CO₂ system provides 150 N of flotation, while the compact design remains comfortable in warm weather and fits over wet-weather clothing.

Fitment and Safety Notice
This is a Canada-only model intended for adults weighing 48.5 kg or more with a chest measurement between 76 and 132 cm. The PFD is shipped unactivated and must be correctly armed, fitted and inspected according to the manufacturer’s instructions before use. Inflatable PFDs must be worn to provide their intended protection; always confirm that this model is suitable for your vessel, activity and applicable Canadian regulations.
When This PFD Needs Replacement or Service
Inspect the PFD before every outing. Re-arm it immediately after any inflation and replace the cylinder, bobbin or indicator components if they are used, damaged, corroded, expired or fail inspection. Replace the complete PFD if the bladder, outer shell, belt, buckle or inflation mechanism shows damage that could affect reliable operation.
Setup and Maintenance Notes
Confirm that the 33-gram CO₂ cylinder is full, securely installed and free from corrosion. Check the Halkey-Roberts status indicator and automatic bobbin as directed by the manufacturer. Adjust the waist belt for a secure fit and perform all recommended leak tests and periodic inspections. Store the PFD dry and away from excessive heat, moisture and contaminants.
