Seachoice Heavy-Duty 3-Position Ignition Switch – Plastic Housing, Off/Ignition/Start
A heavy-duty keyed ignition switch with a corrosion-proof plastic housing for marine helm panel installations. The three-position action covers Off, Ignition, and Start — the standard sequence for most marine engines without a separate choke or accessory position. The plastic housing is inherently immune to corrosion, making it a practical choice for saltwater environments where metal-body switches may require more maintenance over time.
The 13/16"-20 threaded stem mounts securely through panels up to 1 ¹⁄₈ inches thick — slightly more panel clearance than comparable brass-body switches. Two keys are included.

Parts Desk Insights
Best Use Case: This switch is a solid choice for inboard and sterndrive helm panels where a straightforward Off/Ignition/Start sequence is needed and the plastic housing is preferred over brass — either for cost reasons or because the installation environment makes a fully corrosion-proof housing a priority. The 1 ¹⁄₈" panel thickness capacity also gives it a slight fitment advantage over the brass-body 50-11621 on thicker panels. If you prefer a brass-body switch for a more premium feel, see the brass-body 3-position switch (50-11621). For a 4-position switch with an Accessory position, the 4-Position Keyed Ignition Switch (50-11801) is the right fit.
