Sea-Dog Cast Iron River Anchor – 13 lb., Black Vinyl Coated
The Sea-Dog Cast Iron River Anchor is purpose-built for river currents, heavy drift conditions, and mud-bottom lakes where standard fluke or claw anchors struggle to hold. Its three-blade grappling design digs into soft, silty, and uneven bottoms with reliable holding power — even on windy days when current and drift combine to challenge lighter anchors.
Flow-through holes between the blades reduce resistance during retrieval, making it easier to break the anchor free from soft mud bottoms where suction can be a problem. The black vinyl coating protects your hull, gelcoat, and deck surfaces from scratches and scuffs during handling and storage, and provides an additional layer of corrosion resistance over the cast iron construction.

Parts Desk Insights
The Sea-Dog Cast Iron River Anchor is the right choice for pontoon and bass boat owners who anchor frequently in rivers, creeks, and mud-bottom lakes where a standard fluke or claw anchor won’t hold. The three-blade grappling design is specifically engineered for these conditions — it digs into soft, uneven bottoms that defeat flat-fluke designs, and the flow-through holes make retrieval from deep mud significantly easier. The vinyl coating is a practical bonus for boats with painted or gelcoat hulls.
