A 5-quart container of Sierra’s 25W-40 synthetic blend engine oil, purpose-formulated for the demands of sterndrive and inboard gasoline engines. Meeting NMMA FC-W certification, this oil is blended from premium synthetic and mineral base stocks with a carefully engineered additive package designed to handle the sustained high-RPM loads, elevated temperatures, and corrosive marine environment that inboard and sterndrive engines operate in.
The synthetic blend base provides a stable viscosity film under thermal stress, while the corrosion inhibitor package protects internal engine components — cylinder walls, bearings, and valve train — from the accelerated oxidation and moisture exposure common in marine applications. Friction modifiers reduce wear during cold starts and extended high-load operation.
