The Sierra 95303 is a semi-synthetic TC-W3 rated 2-cycle engine oil formulated specifically for direct injection (DI) outboard engines. Direct injection engines run at higher temperatures and tighter tolerances than carbureted or conventional 2-stroke engines, and they require an oil that can handle those conditions without leaving deposits or causing injector fouling. This oil exceeds JASO, ISO, API, and NMMA certification requirements for advanced generation 2-cycle lubricants, making it suitable for the most demanding DI outboard applications.

Best Use Case: Designed for direct injection 2-stroke outboard engines including models from Evinrude E-TEC, Yamaha HPDI, and similar DI platforms that require a high-performance TC-W3 oil. Not intended for conventional carbureted 2-stroke engines where a standard TC-W3 oil is sufficient.
Parts Desk Insights: Direct injection engines are sensitive to oil quality — using a non-DI-rated oil can cause injector deposits and premature wear. Confirm your engine manufacturer's oil specification before selecting.
