The Sierra MP41000 is a compact marine ignition starter switch purpose-built for magneto ignition engines that require both a 6-terminal wiring connection and push-to-choke functionality — a combination found on specific older outboards with complex magneto wiring systems. The 5/8" cylinder diameter fits panels designed for the compact format, while the 6-screw terminal layout accommodates wiring harnesses with more circuit connections than a standard 5-terminal switch can handle.
A corrosion-resistant polyester housing with an inner cylinder seal keeps moisture out and prevents shorts in demanding marine environments. The 3-position action — Off, Ignition, and Start — provides clean, positive control over engine startup and shutdown, backed by a 30A solenoid rating and a 15A circuit rating. Note: no boot is included.
