The Sierra RK19100 is a premium sealed marine rocker switch from the Contura XIV series with an asymmetric On-Off-(On) DPDT (Dual Pole, Double Throw) configuration. One active position is maintained — the switch stays on when you release it — while the other active position is momentary, springing back to center-off when released. This asymmetric action makes it the correct choice for applications that require two different behaviors from a single switch: a sustained on state in one direction and a brief contact pulse in the other.
A practical example is a bilge pump circuit where one position runs the pump continuously (maintained) and the other position triggers a momentary test or override function. The dual-pole (DPDT) configuration switches two circuits simultaneously in each direction.
