Before replacing the trim motor, confirm the motor itself has failed rather than the relay or wiring. A quick bench test: apply 12V directly to the motor terminals — if it runs, the motor is good and the fault is upstream (relay, switch, or wiring). If it doesn’t run, the motor needs replacement. This Sierra 47-6281 is the right motor for the applicable Mercury outboard applications.
