Standard Horizon GX6000 Quantum AIS Fixed VHF Radio with NMEA 2000

The Standard Horizon GX6000 Quantum AIS is a commercial-grade fixed-mount VHF radio built for serious offshore and bluewater use. It combines a dual-channel AIS receiver, integrated GPS, Class D DSC, NMEA 2000® connectivity, a dual-zone 25W PA/loud hailer, and IPX8 submersible construction in a single helm-station unit — with the flexibility to support up to two wired or five total second-station microphones for multi-helm and flybridge installations.

AIS & GPS

• Integrated dual-channel AIS receiver — monitors both AIS channels simultaneously for complete vessel traffic awareness; no targets are missed during channel switching
• Programmable CPA and TCPA collision avoidance alarms — alerts when a tracked vessel reaches a defined closest point of approach or time threshold

This matters most on busy commercial waterways, in shipping lanes, and during offshore passages where missing an AIS target even briefly is a real risk. The dual-zone PA is valuable on vessels with separate cockpit and flybridge speaker circuits. The IPX8 submersible rating makes it the better choice for open-cockpit sportfishers and center consoles where the helm is fully exposed. Boaters on smaller vessels or tighter budgets who don’t need dual-channel AIS or dual-zone PA should consider the GX2410GPS instead. RAM4, RAM4W, and MEK-4 accessories are sold separately and not included.
