The top of the 278 Series lineup, the SwivlEze 278 Air combines an adjustable height pedestal base with a dampening gas spring system that absorbs shock and vibration as you move across the water. The result is a noticeably smoother, more comfortable ride — especially at speed or in choppy conditions where a rigid pedestal transmits every bump directly to the seat.
Height adjusts from 15" to 19", giving you a 4" range of on-the-fly adjustment to suit different operators or seating preferences. The heavy-duty casting supports oversized helm seats, and the wider seat interface provides the same rigid, rattle-free connection as the rest of the 278 Pro family. Add 1" to the base height for total system height when paired with a seat mount.
