Wire rope clips are a practical field solution when swaged or Sta-Lok fittings are not available — particularly for emergency rigging repairs or custom fabrication aboard. Best suited for non-critical or secondary rigging applications; for primary load-bearing standing rigging, swaged terminals or mechanical fittings are generally preferred for long-term reliability.
Installation Notes: Install with the saddle bearing on the live (load-bearing) end of the wire and the U-bolt on the dead end — never saddle a dead horse. Torque to manufacturer specification and re-torque after initial load. Minimum of two clips required for a secure termination; three or more recommended for higher-load applications. Sold individually.
Compatibility: Sized for 3/8" wire rope. Confirm wire rope diameter before ordering — clips must match wire size exactly for rated holding strength. Compatible with galvanized and stainless steel wire rope of the correct diameter.
