The Xantrex Freedom XC PRO 2000 is a compact 12-volt true sine wave inverter and high-output battery charger designed for marine, RV, commercial vehicle, work-truck and emergency-vehicle electrical systems. It supplies 2,000 watts of continuous AC power, delivers up to 4,000 watts of surge power for five seconds and incorporates a programmable 100-amp multistage battery charger. Built-in communications and Bluetooth capability allow system monitoring and configuration when used with the appropriate Xantrex remote panel.

The 818-2010 is the standard hardwired Freedom XC PRO 2000 model. Xantrex also lists the 818-2010-11 version with a built-in GFCI option and separate Freedom XC PRO Marine models under different part numbers.

Certification and Marine Installation Notice
The Freedom XC PRO 2000 is ETL listed to CSA 107.1 and UL 458. Compliance with the UL 458 Marine Supplement requires the Xantrex 808-1050 drip shield. Marine installations must follow applicable ABYC electrical standards, including correct overcurrent protection, DC cable sizing, grounding, ventilation and battery-bank configuration.
Fitment Notice
Confirm that the vessel or vehicle uses a 12-volt battery bank and that its batteries, conductors, disconnects, fuses and charging sources can support inverter currents approaching 192 amps at full output. This is a hardwired inverter/charger and should not be selected solely by wattage; available battery capacity, expected AC loads, installation clearance and shore-power circuit rating must also be considered.
When This Product Needs Replacement
Inspect or replace the inverter/charger when it produces repeated overload or over-temperature faults under previously supported loads, no longer transfers correctly between inverter and external AC power, fails to maintain the programmed charging voltage, develops communication faults or shows evidence of overheating, corrosion or damaged terminals. Battery condition, cable voltage drop and external circuit protection should be checked before condemning the unit.
Installation Notes
Install in a dry, ventilated location protected from water, fuel vapours and excessive heat. Use appropriately sized marine-grade DC conductors, a correctly rated battery fuse and a readily accessible disconnect. Keep battery cables as short as practical and follow Xantrex requirements for mounting orientation, ventilation clearance, AC grounding and neutral connections. The optional 808-1050 drip shield is required for UL 458 Marine Supplement installations.
