The Scotty 1173 Power Grip Plus Release is a full-size downrigger line release built for trollers who want a large, easy-to-handle release with a wide range of adjustable tension settings. The 48" monofilament leader gives you more distance between the downrigger cable and your fishing line, and the streamlined body won’t snag on weeds or foul lines during retrieval.
Release tension is set by moving the fishing line in or out of the soft grip jaws — the further in, the more tension required to trigger the release. Sold in a case of 12, making it ideal for charter operations, guide boats, or serious trollers who go through releases regularly.
