The Express Mach3 14.25x23 is a 3-blade stainless steel propeller engineered for boats running 90–300+ hp engines with 4.75" gearcases. At 23" pitch, it is the high-pitch option in the 14.25" diameter Mach3 range — suited to boats that can carry the extra load and still reach the upper end of the engine’s WOT RPM range, delivering maximum top-end speed where conditions allow.

Built from proprietary TP17™ stainless steel — featuring 20% higher chromium content than standard alloys — it delivers exceptional corrosion resistance, a high-gloss finish, and nearly 250% greater strength than conventional stainless steel. Required Hub Kit

Best Use Case: The 23" pitch is the right recommendation for high-horsepower performance boats, bass boats, and offshore center consoles where the engine is under-propped on the 21" pitch — meaning WOT RPM is consistently above the manufacturer’s recommended range. The extra 2" of pitch will pull RPM down into the correct range and add top-end speed. Confirm WOT RPM with the customer before recommending this pitch — over-propping (RPM too low) causes premature engine wear and reduced performance.

Pitch Selection Rule of Thumb: Each inch of pitch change moves WOT RPM by approximately 150–200 RPM. If a customer is running 200–400 RPM above the top of their WOT range on the 21", the 23" is the correct step up. If they’re already at the top of their range on the 21", stay there. If they’re below range, step down to the 14.25x21.

Hub Kit Note: Always confirm the hub kit part number from the application chart — the wrong kit is the most common installation error. The MasterGuard Model 517 is a common fit for many 500 Series applications.

Upgrade Path: Customers upgrading from aluminum should expect a noticeable improvement in durability and handling. Speed gains over aluminum are modest (typically 0.5–1 mph) — set expectations accordingly and focus the conversation on longevity and performance consistency.
