The Scotty 1178 Power Grip Plus Release is the longest-leader option in the Power Grip Plus family, featuring a 60" monofilament leader that puts maximum distance between your downrigger cable and your fishing line. The large, easy-to-handle body makes it simple to rig and adjust on the water, and the streamlined design won’t snag on weeds or foul lines during retrieval.
Release tension is set by moving the fishing line in or out of the soft grip jaws — the further in, the more tension required to trigger the release. The stacking self-locating snap positions itself correctly on the cable automatically, making it easy to run multiple releases at depth. Sold in a case of 12 for charter captains, guides, and serious trollers who go through releases regularly.
