AMSOIL BE90 / EaBP90 Bypass Oil Filter – EABP90-EA
The AMSOIL BE90 (now superseded by the EaBP90 / EABP90-EA) is a high-efficiency bypass oil filter designed for compatible remote bypass-filtration systems. Unlike the engine’s primary full-flow filter, it processes a smaller portion of the circulating oil at a time, removing fine contaminants and soot down to approximately 2 microns — far finer than a standard full-flow filter.
Note: The BE90 designation has been replaced by EaBP90 (product code EABP90-EA). This listing covers both the legacy BE90 and its current equivalent.
Important: This is a bypass filter only — it must not be installed in place of the engine’s standard full-flow oil filter. It is designed exclusively for use with a compatible bypass-filter head and remote-filtration system.

System Compatibility
The BE90/EaBP90 is intended for compatible AMSOIL single-remote, dual-remote, and Dual-Gard bypass-filtration systems designed to use the EaBP90 filter size. Compatibility depends on the installed bypass-filter head, mounting thread, hose arrangement, and available installation clearance.
Fitment Notice
Confirm the number on the existing bypass filter and identify the installed remote-filter system before ordering. A filter with a similar outside size or mounting thread is not automatically compatible with the system’s flow restriction and filtration requirements. The BE90/EaBP90 must only be installed on a filter head designed for bypass filtration — never in place of a normal full-flow engine oil filter.
Service Interval
AMSOIL lists the maximum EaBP90 service interval as up to 60,000 miles, 600 operating hours, or two years — whichever occurs first. Earlier replacement may be appropriate when oil analysis indicates excessive contamination, after internal engine damage, or when the lubrication system has been exposed to coolant, fuel, water, or heavy soot contamination.
Installation Notes
Shut down the engine and allow the lubrication system to cool before servicing the bypass filter. Position a drain container beneath the filter and remove it according to the bypass-system manufacturer’s instructions. Clean the filter-head sealing surface and confirm the old gasket has been removed. Lubricate the new gasket with clean engine oil and tighten to AMSOIL’s specification. After installation: start the engine and allow oil to circulate, inspect the filter head, hoses, and fittings for leakage, shut down and check the oil level, add oil as required to account for the new filter’s capacity, then recheck after the engine reaches operating temperature.
