Heavy-Duty 2/0 AWG Battery Lugs for High-Current Marine Systems
The Ancor 252295 Marine Grade™ Tinned Battery Lug is built for the demanding high-current circuits found on larger vessels — think twin-engine battery banks, high-capacity inverters, and heavy-draw windlass systems. Constructed from pure copper and fully tinned, these lugs provide maximum conductivity while resisting the corrosion that salt air and bilge moisture accelerate in untreated terminals. The closed-end barrel design seals the cable tip against moisture intrusion, protecting the connection at its most vulnerable point.
This 2-pack is sized for 2/0 AWG cable with a 5/16" fastener hole — a common configuration for negative battery runs and secondary positive connections where a 5/16" stud is used.

The 5/16" fastener is the go-to choice for negative battery terminals on most Group 27, 31, and 4D batteries, where the negative post stud is typically smaller than the positive. If you're terminating the positive side of a 2/0 AWG run, you'll likely need the 3/8" version (252296) or the 1/2" version (252297) depending on your battery. For boatyard or multi-vessel work, the 25-pack (242295) offers better value per lug. Always use a ratcheting lug crimper rated for 2/0 AWG — this gauge requires significant crimping force and an undersized tool will produce a weak, high-resistance joint.
