Marine-Grade Momentary Control Built to Handle the Elements
The Cole Hersee M612BP is a step above standard push-button switches — built from the ground up for marine use with a solid brass case, brass plunger, and brass hardware throughout. Press the chrome-plated button to close the circuit momentarily; release it and the spring returns it to off. The oversized chrome-plated face nut is a deliberate design feature, creating a physical guard that reduces the chance of accidental activation in busy cockpit or helm environments.
Silver contacts deliver low-resistance, long-life switching, and the switch accommodates panels up to 1" thick — one of the more generous panel thickness ratings in this switch class.

Parts Desk Insights
Best use case: The M612BP is the right choice when you want a momentary push-button that looks and feels premium — the all-brass construction and oversized face nut make it particularly well-suited for exposed helm positions, high-traffic cockpit panels, and any installation where a cheaper plastic switch would look out of place or wear prematurely. It’s a popular pick for horn buttons and windlass jog controls where the oversized nut provides a natural tactile boundary around the button.
