The Dometic HS5157 is an OEM replacement seal kit for Dometic (SeaStar) hydraulic steering cylinders. When a hydraulic steering cylinder begins weeping fluid — typically visible as an oily film on the cylinder body or a gradual softening of steering feel — the internal seals are the first place to look. This kit replaces those seals and restores the cylinder to full hydraulic integrity without requiring a complete cylinder replacement.
At a fraction of the cost of a new cylinder, a seal kit is the correct first repair step when the cylinder body and ram are in good condition and only the seals have failed.

Important
Confirm your cylinder model number before ordering. Dometic produces multiple seal kits for different cylinder families — using the wrong kit will result in an improper fit.
