It's the right pick when your transducer is mounted further from the display than the stock cable allows — typical on tiller boats, kayaks, and smaller aluminum fishing boats where the display is mounted at a distance from the transom. Before ordering, confirm your unit uses a 4-pin transducer port — many newer Garmin units use 8-pin or 12-pin connectors instead.
