The GROCO ARG-1500S is a heavy-duty bronze raw-water strainer designed for inboard engine cooling systems, generator cooling, and other high-flow seawater intake applications. The see-through screw-on cap and tool-free #304 stainless steel basket removal make routine maintenance fast and straightforward. O-ring seals at the cap and between the strainer head and sight glass ensure a leak-free installation under both pressure and vacuum. The ARG-1500S accepts 1-1/2 in. pipe or hose connections and is built to handle the demands of continuous raw-water service.
Best Use Case: Ideal as a primary raw-water strainer on inboard diesel and gasoline engines, generator cooling circuits, and high-volume seawater systems on mid-to-large vessels. The large basket capacity and tool-free maintenance design make it well-suited for offshore and bluewater applications where reliability and easy servicing are critical. Not for use in potable water systems.
