Depth to 600 Feet. Speed to 70 mph. Your Finish, Your Choice.
The Humminbird HDR 650 is a high-performance in-dash digital depth gauge built for boaters who push the throttle. It reads bottom depth accurately to 600 feet at speeds up to 70 mph — well beyond what most gauge-style sounders can handle — making it a strong choice for fast powerboats, ski boats, and performance runabouts where a chartplotter-style unit isn't the right fit.
The 1-1/4" backlit LCD display is large and easy to read, with shallow and deep water alarms that alert you before you reach a depth you've flagged. Readings are available in feet, fathoms, or meters.
One standout feature: the HDR 650 ships with two face plates (white and black) and three trim rings (black, white, and silver), so you can match your helm panel without ordering a separate bezel kit. It mounts in a standard 2-1/8" gauge hole and is fully waterproof.

Parts Desk Insights
Best use case: The HDR 650 is the right pick for fast boats — particularly performance runabouts, ski boats, and bass boats — where speed-rated depth accuracy matters and a traditional gauge-hole mount is preferred over a chartplotter. The 70 mph speed rating sets it apart from most in-dash depth gauges, which typically top out at 35–45 mph. If your boat runs fast and you want a clean helm-mounted depth readout rather than a multifunction display, this is the unit to spec.
Gauge hole note: This unit requires a 2-1/8" hole, which is slightly larger than the 2-1/16" standard used by most Faria and Garmin gauge-style sounders. Confirm your panel cutout before ordering. If your panel has a 2-1/16" hole, see the Faria Chesapeake SS Black Transom Mount (FAR 13750) or Faria Chesapeake SS Black In-Hull (FAR 13751) as alternatives.
