MEGA Live 2 is Humminbird's second-generation live sonar system, delivering real-time underwater imaging with the resolution and clarity of MEGA Imaging technology. Unlike traditional sonar that builds a picture over time, MEGA Live 2 shows you fish and structure as they move — in real time — so you can watch your lure, track individual fish, and react instantly. It mounts directly to a trolling motor shaft and connects to compatible Humminbird fish finders.
Three Viewing Modes
- Forward — see what’s ahead of the boat in real time; ideal for tracking fish approaching your lure
- Down — live view directly beneath the trolling motor; great for vertical presentations and jigging
- Landscape — wide panoramic view combining forward and down coverage for a full picture of the water column and structure around you
MEGA Imaging Quality Throughout
Every viewing mode is powered by MEGA Imaging® — the same high-frequency sonar technology behind MEGA Side Imaging+ and MEGA Down Imaging+. The result is a live sonar picture with no gaps in coverage and enough detail to distinguish individual fish, baitfish schools, and bottom structure with confidence.
Lure & Target Tracking
- Dynamic bait and lure tracking with an optimized sonar cone angle — wide enough for full coverage, precise enough to isolate individual targets
- Customizable color palettes to enhance contrast and detail in varying water conditions
- Mark and save waypoints directly on the MEGA Live sonar screen when paired with a compatible GPS heading sensor (sold separately)

Trolling Motor Compatibility
MEGA Live 2 mounts to either side of a trolling motor shaft and is designed for use with Minn Kota trolling motors, including the Minn Kota Ulterra Quest and Ultrex platforms. For Ultrex installations, see the MEGA Live Target Lock Adapter Kit – Ultrex 60" (7402221) for secure mounting.

It’s also a strong upgrade path for anyone already running a compatible XPLORE, APEX, or SOLIX G3 head unit who wants to add live sonar without replacing their display.
Head unit requirement: MEGA Live 2 requires a compatible Humminbird head unit — APEX, SOLIX G3, or XPLORE series. It will not function with older HELIX models or non-MEGA-capable units. Confirm your display model before ordering.
GPS heading sensor: Waypoint marking on the live sonar screen requires an optional GPS receiver with heading sensor (AS GPS HS), sold separately. Without it, the live sonar view is fully functional but waypoints cannot be pinned directly from the MEGA Live screen.
Mounting note: Mounts to the trolling motor shaft — not the transom. If your installation requires a transom-mount transducer instead, see the XM 14 HW CMSI T Compact MEGA Side Imaging+ Transducer (7103111).
