Nitrile vs. Neoprene — Important Distinction
Jabsco Profile B impeller kits are available in two compounds:
- 14750-0003-P (this kit) — Nitrile (NBR): Petroleum resistant. Required for oil, diesel, and fuel-contaminated fluid service.
- 14750-0001-P — Neoprene: For clean water service only. Do not use in oil or fuel applications.
Both kits share identical Profile B dimensions and look the same. The compound is the only difference and it is not stamped on the impeller — always order by part number.

Service Interval
Inspect and replace at least annually, or whenever any of the following are observed:
- Reduced or lost fluid-transfer performance
- Pump is slow to prime or fails to prime
- Blades cracked, hardened, permanently bent, or torn
- Blade tip material missing — inspect pump bore and connected hoses for fragments before replacing
- Brass hub loose on the shaft
- Pump has run dry
- Equipment stored for an extended period without use
Installation Notes
- Disconnect power to the pump before beginning service
- Remove the pump cover plate and old gasket or O-ring
- Extract the old impeller using a puller or channel-lock pliers — do not pry against the pump face
- Inspect the pump bore, cam surface, shaft, and cover plate for scoring or wear
- Remove all blade fragments from the pump body and connected hoses before installing the new impeller
- Apply the included glycerin lubricant to the new impeller blades and bore
- Align the single-flat brass hub to the drive shaft and press the impeller fully into the bore
- Install the replacement gasket and O-ring from the kit
- Reassemble the pump cover and verify leak-free, priming operation before returning to service
