Jabsco Profile G Nitrile Impeller – 18673-0003-P / 6-186730003P
Product Description
The Jabsco 18673-0003-P is a six-blade nitrile flexible impeller for compatible marine bilge, transfer and general-purpose pumps. Its oil-resistant nitrile construction is intended for pumping water heavily contaminated with diesel fuel, lubricating oil or other petroleum products. The impeller uses a brass hub with a slotted pin-drive connection.

Product Compatibility
The 18673-0003-P is designed for pumps requiring the older Jabsco 673-0003 nitrile impeller specification. Supported cross-reference applications include compatible Johnson Pump and Volvo Penta raw-water pump assemblies using the same 2 × 7/8-inch, six-blade, pin-drive configuration.
Commonly supported references include:

Intended Use
This nitrile impeller is suitable for:
- Oily bilge-water pumping
- Diesel-fuel transfer
- Oil-and-water mixtures
- Petroleum-contaminated liquid transfer
- Compatible marine and industrial utility pumps
Nitrile is preferred over neoprene where regular exposure to oil or diesel is expected. For ordinary engine cooling with clean fresh or salt water, the corresponding neoprene impeller is generally the more appropriate compound.
Fitment Notice
Before ordering, confirm that the original impeller requires:
- Six blades
- 2-inch outside diameter
- 7/8-inch width
- 1/2-inch shaft
- Slotted pin-drive hub
- Brass insert
- Nitrile construction
- Jabsco 673-0003 or 18673-0003-P specification
Do not identify this part by diameter alone. Several Jabsco impellers measure approximately 2 × 7/8 inches but use different shaft sizes, hub drives, blade counts or compounds.
When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace the impeller when:
- Pump output becomes weak or irregular
- The pump loses its ability to self-prime
- Fluid-transfer time increases noticeably
- The blades become cracked, swollen or permanently folded
- Blade tips are torn or missing
- The brass hub becomes loose on the shaft
- The pin-drive slot shows visible wear
- The pump has operated dry
- The nitrile has hardened after prolonged service
Flexible impellers should be inspected regularly and replaced preventively rather than being run until complete failure.
Installation Notes
- Disconnect electrical power or disable the engine starting circuit.
- Isolate and drain the connected fluid lines where necessary.
- Remove the pump end cover and old sealing component.
- Pull the impeller by gripping its hub with a suitable impeller-removal tool or pliers.
- Do not pry against the pump housing with a screwdriver.
- Recover any missing blade fragments from the plumbing.
- Inspect the pump chamber, cam, cover plate, shaft and retaining pin.
- Lubricate the replacement impeller before installation.
- Align the hub slot with the pump-shaft pin.
- Reinstall the correct gasket or O-ring and secure the cover.
- Prime the pump where required and check immediately for proper flow and leaks.
Avoid prolonged dry running, even with an oil-resistant nitrile impeller.

Parts Desk Insight
The most important feature of this impeller is its nitrile compound. It shares its dimensions with several water-service impellers, but it is specifically intended for pumps handling oily bilge water, diesel fuel or petroleum-contaminated liquids. Confirm the six-blade, 1/2-inch pin-drive hub before ordering.
