The Johnson Pump 09-812BT-1 is a complete flexible impeller service kit for compatible Johnson Pump F6 raw-water and general-purpose flexible impeller pumps. It uses a 12-blade MC97/EPDM impeller with a splined hub and front puller thread, allowing the impeller to be removed with Johnson Pump puller 09-47154-01. The kit is suitable for cooling-water circulation and other compatible water-pumping applications.

Fitment Notice
Johnson Pump F6 pumps may use different shaft and hub configurations. Confirm that the existing impeller has:

- An application calling for 09-812BT-1 or Jabsco 13554-0001
Do not confuse this threaded version with a visually similar F6 impeller that lacks the front puller thread.
When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace the impeller when:
- Raw-water flow becomes weak or intermittent
- The engine or equipment begins running hotter than normal
- Impeller blades are cracked, torn, hardened or permanently bent
- Pieces are missing from the impeller
- The hub slips or shows excessive wear
- The pump has been operated dry
- The pump has ingested sand, silt or debris
- The recommended preventive-maintenance interval has been reached
A damaged flexible impeller can reduce pump output and may lead to cooling-system failure or engine damage.
Installation Notes
Before installation:
- Shut down the engine or equipment and isolate power
- Close the raw-water intake where applicable
- Remove the pump cover carefully
- Use Johnson Pump puller 09-47154-01 with the threaded hub when required
- Remove any broken impeller fragments from the pump and downstream cooling passages
- Inspect the pump cover, cam, housing and shaft for wear
- Replace the supplied gasket and O-ring
- Apply the included impeller lubricant
- Rotate the shaft in its normal direction while fitting the cover
- Reopen the water intake and confirm proper flow before operating under load
Do not run the flexible impeller pump without a water supply.
