Fitment Notice
Match the exact rearming kit number shown on your inflatable life jacket or inflator assembly. This kit is designed for manual inflation systems only and uses a 24-gram CO₂ cylinder with a 1/2-inch threaded connection. It must not be used on automatic inflators that require a water-activated bobbin.
When This Kit Needs Replacement
- Immediately after the inflatable PFD has been deployed.
- If the CO₂ cylinder has been punctured or discharged.
- If the cylinder is corroded, dented or otherwise damaged.
- If the green indicator pin is missing or damaged.
- Whenever the PFD manufacturer's inspection schedule calls for replacement.
- Before placing a deployed inflatable PFD back into service.
Installation Notes
- Completely deflate and dry the PFD before beginning the rearming procedure.
- Remove the spent CO₂ cylinder and old indicator pin.
- Install the new green indicator pin before threading in the replacement cylinder.
- Hand-tighten the cylinder carefully to avoid cross-threading.
- Confirm the inflator displays the correct armed status before repacking the life jacket.
- Follow the folding and repacking instructions provided by the PFD manufacturer.
- Do not expose the pressurized cylinder to temperatures above 50°C.
