Lowrance Eagle 5 – 5" Fish Finder with SplitShot HD & C-MAP DISCOVER Charts
The Eagle 5 is the most compact unit in the Eagle series — a 5-inch IPS display paired with a SplitShot HD transducer and detailed C-MAP® DISCOVER™ charting for the U.S. and Canada, all in the lightest, most portable Eagle footprint available. The IPS screen is viewable from any angle, even through polarized sunglasses in direct sunlight, and autotuning sonar means you’re fishing within minutes of powering on.

SplitShot HD Sonar
The included SplitShot HD transducer delivers two sonar views in one unit:
- CHIRP sonar — traditional 2D sonar with improved target separation and depth performance; autotuning sets optimal sensitivity automatically
- DownScan Imaging™ — detailed picture of what’s directly below the boat, with photographic-quality bottom and structure detail

FishReveal™ Technology
FishReveal™ overlays CHIRP fish arches directly onto the DownScan Imaging view, making it significantly easier to distinguish fish from weeds, brush, and other cover. Instead of interpreting two separate sonar screens, you see fish targets highlighted within the structure image — a practical advantage when fishing docks, laydowns, and weed edges.
C-MAP® DISCOVER™ US/CA Charts
Detailed C-MAP DISCOVER charts for the U.S. and Canada are included, featuring:

It’s also a strong entry-level option for anglers new to fish finders who want a capable, straightforward unit without a steep learning curve or a large upfront investment. The twist-lock transducer makes it easy to move between boats or remove the unit for storage.
Screen size consideration: The 5" display is the smallest in the Eagle series. If your mounting space allows it, the Eagle 7 SplitShot HD adds two inches of screen real estate with the same transducer and feature set — worth considering if you plan to use chart views regularly or fish in conditions where reading a small screen is difficult.
SplitShot vs. TripleShot: SplitShot HD covers CHIRP and DownScan — the two most commonly used sonar views for vertical and structure fishing. If you also want to scan water laterally to locate structure and baitfish quickly, the Eagle 7 TripleShot HD adds SideScan to the package.
