Propeller Selection & Pitch Note
Pitch selection affects engine RPM at wide-open throttle (WOT). The goal is to reach the engine manufacturer’s recommended WOT RPM range with your typical load. A 23-pitch prop is suited for higher-horsepower applications where the engine can turn the additional load. If your engine is currently over-revving with a lower-pitch prop, stepping up to 23 pitch may bring RPM into the correct range. If you are under-revving, a lower pitch may be needed.
