Fitment Notice
Always confirm the required oil type in the engine owner’s manual or service manual before use. Some high-output, direct-injection, racing, or severe-duty 2-stroke engines may specify Mercury Premium Plus, Mercury DFI/Optimax oil, or another lubricant requirement instead of standard Premium TC-W3 oil.
When This Product Needs Replacement
Use fresh oil when topping up an oil-injection reservoir, preparing premix fuel, recommissioning a seasonal outboard, or replacing old oil that has been stored too long or contaminated with moisture, dirt, or fuel. Running a 2-stroke outboard with the wrong oil, old oil, or insufficient oil can lead to poor lubrication, excessive deposits, plug fouling, warning alarms, or serious internal engine damage.
Usage Notes
For premix engines, mix only at the fuel-to-oil ratio specified by the outboard manufacturer. For oil-injection engines, fill the correct oil tank only and avoid introducing dirt or water into the reservoir. Do not mix unknown oil types in the tank unless the service manual allows it. Store the bottle capped and clean, and wipe the tank fill area before pouring.
