This kit is notable for spanning both Suzuki’s older DT 2-stroke and DF 4-stroke platforms in the 20–50hp class — a useful cross-generation fit that covers engines from 1983 through 2010. Note that the DF 40 and DF 50 coverage ends at 2010; engines from 2010 onward use the A-series housing and require the Quicksilver 8M6012810 kit for DF40A–DF60A. This kit contains only three components (wear plate, gasket, impeller) — simpler than the full insert-cup kits used on larger engines, which is typical for this displacement class. Sierra 18-3242 is a direct aftermarket alternative.
