The Raymarine EV-200 Hydraulic Autopilot (T70157) is a complete Evolution autopilot system for power boats and motor yachts with hydraulic steering. The kit includes every component needed for a full installation: the EV1 Sensor Core, ACU-200 Actuator Control Unit, p70Rs control head, Type 1 Hydraulic Pump, rudder indicator, and the EV1 cabling kit.
The EV1 Sensor Core uses a 9-axis solid-state sensor to monitor pitch, roll, yaw and heading simultaneously. It requires no compass calibration and can be mounted above or below deck in virtually any orientation — upside-down or off the vessel’s centreline — making installation straightforward even in confined engine rooms.
The included p70Rs control head features a rotary knob interface and a bright optically bonded display, well suited to power-boat operation. The Type 1 Hydraulic Pump connects to the vessel’s existing hydraulic steering circuit, and the rudder indicator provides the system with real-time rudder position feedback for more precise steering.

Parts Desk Insight
Staff Choice*****
The EV-200 Hydraulic is the correct system for power boats that already have hydraulic steering — the Type 1 pump integrates directly into the existing hydraulic circuit without replacing it. The rudder indicator included in this kit gives the autopilot closed-loop feedback, which improves steering accuracy compared to systems without one. If your vessel has mechanical (cable or rack-and-pinion) steering rather than hydraulic, the EV-200 Mechanical Linear Drive (T70158) is the correct choice. For smaller vessels or those where the EV-200 drive capacity exceeds requirements, the EV-100 Power Pilot family is worth considering first.
