Unlike float-arm senders, this reed switch design has no moving mechanical parts, which means fewer points of failure and longer service life in the demanding marine environment. The stainless steel immersion tubes resist corrosion, and the included gasket with SAE 5-hole bolt pattern makes installation straightforward on most standard tank openings.
