When This Life Jacket Needs Replacement
Replace the life jacket if the flotation foam becomes compressed, uneven or waterlogged, or if the shell, stitching, zipper, belts or buckles show significant wear or damage. It should also be replaced after contamination by fuel, oil, solvents or other substances that may weaken its materials.
Care and Use Notes
Close the front zipper and tighten both adjustment belts until the life jacket fits securely without restricting normal breathing or movement. Check that it cannot ride excessively upward over the wearer’s chin or face. Rinse with fresh water after use, allow it to air-dry completely and store it in a dry, ventilated area away from direct heat.
