When This Life Jacket Needs Replacement
Replace the life jacket if the flotation foam becomes compressed, uneven or waterlogged, or if the shell, stitching, zipper, belts or buckles become damaged. It should also be replaced following contamination by fuel, oil, solvents or other substances that could weaken its materials.
Care and Use Notes
Close the front zipper and tighten both adjustment belts until the jacket fits securely without restricting normal breathing or movement. Check that it does not ride excessively upward when lifted at the shoulders. Rinse with fresh water after use, allow it to air-dry completely and store it in a dry, ventilated area away from direct heat.
