The Shakespeare 5225XT-AIS Galaxy is an 8-foot, 6 dB gain antenna purpose-built to handle both VHF voice communications and AIS simultaneously — without a splitter. Engineered with a wider bandwidth than standard VHF antennas, it meets the demanding signal requirements of all popular AIS transceivers while delivering the long-range performance the Galaxy series is known for.
Commercial-grade fiberglass construction, a stainless steel ferrule with 1"–14 thread, and 20 ft of included RG-8/X low-loss coax with a PL-259 connector make this a complete, ready-to-install solution.
