The Shakespeare 5225XT Galaxy is the evolution of Shakespeare's legendary 5225 — the same proven collinear-phased antenna element that boaters have trusted for decades, now housed in a new, stronger, stiffer radome built to handle hard tops, T-tops, radar arches, and high-speed running conditions where a standard antenna would flex or fatigue.
At 7.75 feet with 6 dB gain, it delivers the long-range VHF performance you'd expect from a full-size Galaxy antenna, with brass and copper elements, a stainless steel ferrule on a standard 1"–14 thread, and 20 ft of RG-8/X low-loss coax with a PL-259 connector included.

The included RG-8/X cable is good quality for runs up to 20–25 ft. For longer cable runs, we recommend upgrading to LMR-400 equivalent to keep signal loss in check.
