The Solas Rubex 9513-140-21 is a high-pitch, 4-blade aluminum propeller built for the Rubex interchangeable hub system. At 14" diameter and 21" pitch, this is a high-performance option designed for larger outboards where top-end speed and midrange efficiency are the priority. The 4-blade design adds stern lift and improves handling compared to a 3-blade at the same pitch, making it a strong choice for heavier hulls or boats that need better hole shot and stability at speed.

As part of the Rubex interchangeable system, the propeller housing separates from the hub — so if the blades are damaged, you only replace the housing, not the entire assembly. The hub is reusable in most cases, which significantly reduces the cost of propeller replacement over time.

The 14x21 is a high-pitch prop best suited for larger outboards (typically 115hp and up) on lighter or faster hulls where the engine can pull a 21" pitch and still reach the top of its WOT RPM range. The 4-blade configuration is the right call when a customer is stepping up from a 3-blade and wants better stern lift, reduced porpoising, or a smoother ride at cruise — without sacrificing top-end speed. If a customer is lugging below WOT RPM with this pitch, step them down to the 14.25x19 or 14.5x17. Always confirm the correct hub kit for their engine before completing the order — the Rubex hub kit is not included and must be ordered separately.
