The 1-1/8" high tensile shackle is best suited for mid-size vessels with anchor chain in the 1/4"–5/16" range, or any setup where load ratings matter more than minimizing hardware weight. It’s the smallest of the large-format Titan high tensile shackles — a good fit when you need rated, heavy-duty hardware but don’t require the full capacity of the 1-1/4" or 1-3/8" models. As with all anchor shackles on permanent installations, mouse (seize) the pin with stainless wire or a cable tie to prevent it backing out under cyclic loading. Match the shackle pin diameter to your chain link inside width when in doubt about sizing.
